Blendingmind® Retreat Code of Conduct

BLP-07 Version 1.0 Effective: July 2026

Welcome

Thank you for joining a Blendingmind® retreat. Our aim is to provide a welcoming, respectful and supportive environment where everyone can learn, explore and develop in a safe and inclusive setting.

Our Values

We encourage kindness, mutual respect, integrity, inclusivity, openness, confidentiality and personal responsibility throughout every retreat.

Participant Expectations

Participants are expected to treat everyone with dignity and courtesy, respect different beliefs and experiences, maintain appropriate personal boundaries, listen respectfully, contribute positively and take responsibility for their own behaviour.

Unacceptable Behaviour

Bullying, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, abusive language, aggressive behaviour, repeated disruption, deliberate exclusion of others or any conduct that undermines the wellbeing of participants is not acceptable.

Confidentiality

Participants are asked to respect the privacy of others. Personal stories or experiences shared during the retreat should not be disclosed outside the retreat without that person's permission.

Existing Relationships

Any personal disagreements or previous relationships should remain separate from the retreat experience and should not affect the learning environment or other participants.

Raising Concerns

If something concerns you, please speak privately with one of the organisers as soon as reasonably possible. Most concerns can be resolved informally through discussion. If you remain dissatisfied, you may make a formal complaint in accordance with our Complaints Procedure.

How We Respond

Where concerns arise, organisers will listen fairly, consider all perspectives and take proportionate steps to maintain a respectful learning environment. Reasonable adjustments may be made where appropriate.

Removal from the Retreat

Where behaviour seriously or repeatedly breaches this Code of Conduct, the Organiser may ask a participant to leave the retreat. Refunds will normally not be provided except where the Organiser considers that exceptional circumstances apply.

Constructive Feedback

We welcome constructive feedback from participants. Your comments help us review and improve future retreats, teaching and the overall participant experience.

Our Commitment

We are committed to providing a welcoming environment in which every participant feels respected, supported and able to engage in spiritual development at their own pace.

Blendingmind® Complaints Procedure

BBLP-11 Version 1.0 Effective: July 2026

Our Commitment

Blendingmind® is committed to providing a welcoming, respectful and professional environment for everyone attending our retreats. We value feedback and regard complaints as an opportunity to learn, improve and maintain high standards of care, fairness and professionalism.

Informal Resolution

If you have a concern during a retreat, please speak privately with one of the organisers as soon as reasonably practicable. Most concerns can be resolved quickly through respectful discussion.

Making a Formal Complaint

If your concern cannot be resolved informally, you should normally submit a formal complaint in writing within 28 days of the retreat ending.

Please include your name and contact details, the name and date of the retreat, a clear description of your complaint, any relevant dates, facts or supporting information, and the outcome you are seeking.

Formal complaints should be sent to: batesschiesser@gmail.com

Our Process

We will acknowledge receipt within five working days, review the information provided, make such enquiries as we reasonably consider necessary and normally respond in writing within twenty working days of acknowledging your complaint. If additional time is required, we will explain the reason for the delay.

Fairness and Confidentiality

Complaints will be considered fairly, impartially and as confidentially as reasonably possible. Information will only be shared where necessary to investigate the complaint, fulfil safeguarding responsibilities or where required by law.

Spiritual Perspectives

Blendingmind® welcomes a diversity of spiritual beliefs, experiences and interpretations. Mediumship, psychic perception, intuition and spiritual development are inherently personal experiences and may be interpreted differently by different individuals. Complaints based solely on differences of spiritual belief, interpretation, intuitive impressions or mediumistic experiences will not normally be upheld unless they involve misconduct, discrimination, harassment, safeguarding concerns or a breach of our published policies or Retreat Code of Conduct.

Possible Outcomes

Following our investigation we may provide an explanation or clarification, offer an apology where appropriate, identify improvements to our policies or procedures, take appropriate action where a breach of our standards has occurred, or conclude that no further action is required.

Final Decision

Following completion of the complaints process, the Organiser will issue a written decision. Unless required otherwise by law, that decision concludes our internal complaints procedure.

Legal Rights

Nothing in this Complaints Procedure limits or excludes any statutory rights that participants may have under applicable law.
