Welcome

Thank you for joining a Blendingmind® retreat. Our aim is to provide a welcoming, respectful and supportive environment where everyone can learn, explore and develop in a safe and inclusive setting.

Our Values

We encourage kindness, mutual respect, integrity, inclusivity, openness, confidentiality and personal responsibility throughout every retreat.

Participants may hold different religious, spiritual, philosophical or non-religious beliefs and perspectives. These differences should be treated with respect. No participant is required to adopt or agree with the beliefs, interpretations or experiences of another person.

Participant Expectations

Participants are expected to treat everyone with dignity and courtesy, respect different beliefs and experiences, maintain appropriate personal boundaries, listen respectfully, contribute positively and take responsibility for their own behaviour.

Participants should also comply with reasonable instructions given by the Organiser or venue where these relate to safety, welfare, the appropriate running of the retreat or the reasonable enjoyment of others.

Unacceptable Behaviour

Bullying, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, abusive language, aggressive behaviour, repeated disruption, deliberate exclusion of others or any conduct that undermines the wellbeing of participants is not acceptable.

Confidentiality

Participants are asked to respect the privacy of others. Personal stories or experiences shared during the retreat should not be disclosed outside the retreat without that person's permission.

Photography & Recording

Participants must not make audio or video recordings of teaching sessions, demonstrations, exercises or other retreat activities without prior permission.

Photographs or recordings involving other participants should not be taken, shared or published without appropriate permission.

Where the Organiser intends to photograph or record retreat activities for publication, promotional or other purposes, participants will be informed and consent will be obtained where required. Participation in such photography or recording is voluntary.

Existing Relationships

Any personal disagreements or previous relationships should remain separate from the retreat experience and should not affect the learning environment or other participants.

Raising Concerns

If something concerns you, please speak privately with one of the organisers as soon as reasonably possible. Most concerns can be resolved informally through discussion.

If you remain dissatisfied, you may make a formal complaint in accordance with the Blendingmind® Complaints Procedure.

How We Respond

Where concerns arise, organisers will listen fairly, consider relevant perspectives and take proportionate steps to maintain a respectful learning environment.

Reasonable adjustments may be considered where appropriate and practicable.

Removal from the Retreat

Where behaviour seriously or repeatedly breaches this Code of Conduct, or where conduct presents a significant risk to the safety, wellbeing or reasonable enjoyment of others, the Organiser may ask a participant to leave the retreat.

Subject to applicable law and any statutory rights, refunds will not normally be provided where a participant is required to leave because of their own serious or repeated breach of this Code. Exceptional circumstances may be considered by the Organiser.

Constructive Feedback

We welcome constructive feedback from participants. Your comments help us review and improve future retreats, teaching and the overall participant experience.
